GREETINGS FROM THE CONQUERORS QUARTET!!
It’s been a while since I’ve written
but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to invite everyone to
our upcoming CONQUERORS QUARTET 20TH ANNIVERSAY CONCERT on
Saturday July 24th at 7:00pm at Gateway Baptist Church in
Newburgh, IN. You won’t want to miss this exciting night
of gospel music and history of the Conquerors Quartet.
Many of the former members including Chris Meyer, Bob Freiberger,
Jon Hall, Andy Roberts, Rob Klauss, Jim Clark, Ralph
Newkirk, Phil Winterheimer, Paul Rigdon, Tim Jefferson, as well
as all of the current members Joyce, Roger, Andrew, Dave and

Dear Conquerors' Friends:
We have seen so many wonderful things happen in the previous year;
we can hardly wait to see God’s hand on our ministry in the coming
year. Our first three services in 2010 could not have been
better! The New Year’s Eve at Mackey Nazarene was blessed
beyond measure. Not only did many of our dear friends come to
celebrate with us, but the presence of God was evident from the
beginning. Our talented buddy and fellow minister Ben Morelock
opened the service, and his anointed singing touched the hearts of
the congregation. Great Job, Ben!
Mackey Nazarene is the home church of our Bus Driver Ben Brewer.
We were so honored to be invited to this beautiful facility and to
be there with Ben and Sue Brewer. They are such an important
part of our ministry; it was a special evening being with their
church family. We laughed, cried, and even had a young man make his
way to an altar of prayer. God is so good to allow us to be
used to spread this message of hope to a dying world!
Due to inclement weather, our service at Fares Ave. Baptist church
was rescheduled from Jan 9th to Jan 16th. Once again we
weren’t disappointed as the church filled with friends, family, and
even new friends whom we met that night. Pastor Jim and Sister
Sue Johnson always make our visit to Fares Ave. a great evening.
The only thing wrong with the evening was that fact that Ben and Sue
Brewer were unable to be with us. Our group seemed incomplete;
we missed them both. We enjoyed singing the requested songs
from the audience, but learned we should brush up a little on the
song, “On the Jericho Road” before attempting it again. Thanks to
Jim and Sue for all of your continuous support.
On Sunday night, we made our way to Hanover Indiana to the First
Christian Church. We were recommended by our friend Tim
Chastain with The Sonshiners Quartet. We had a great crowd and
couldn’t believe the response. It was also great to have Jim,
Sue,and Donnie join us in Hanover. These folks sure do like
their Southern Gospel Music and especially love hearing Roger
Sweeney's beautiful tenor voice. Speaking of Roger--please
remember him in prayer as he continues to recover from his recent
eye surgery. We are believing God for a complete healing from
any future concerns.
We were honored to be included on a Golden Street Records
compilation CD with our friends Southern Sound and The Childress
Family. We chose our original song WELCOME HOME as
our single. The song with Andrew’s vocals continues to get
tremendous response. Southern Sound chose the old song
WAIT TILL YOU SEE MY NEW HOME. No one can sing the old
classic songs like the guys with Southern Sound. Also, we want
to congratulate them on signing with Homeland Records. The
Childress Family selected the song IN CHRIST ALONE as
their single because that song seems to say so much. It is
particularly special to them at this time as they are dealing
Shannon’s health issues. Our hope is in Christ alone.
You might even want to call your local gospel station and ask them
to find those songs and play them!
Don’t forget our upcoming schedule especially February 27th at First
Christian Church at 4544 State Route 261 Newburgh, IN. That
evening, we plan on re-unveiling the song, "Didn't It Rain." It's
going to be an exciting night; invite your family and friends to
come with you! There is free admission! If there are any other
“old Conquerors' ” songs that you would be interested in hearing,
please let us know. Also, remember that Mason wants to add a
Fan’s Picture page on the website. If you have any pictures of
us or ones with you and us together, please send them to our email
address.
In His service,
Bro. Dave

Conquerors' Friends:
The year of 2009 has come and gone and as usual
the Lord has blessed in many ways! When our families are well
and we can rise from our beds in the morning to another day that the
Lord has made, we can say He has truly blessed!
I consider it a privilege to continue to sing
the praises through Southern Gospel songs which never cease to
uplift me in many ways. Also, it is such a privilege to sing
with my second family--The Conquerors Quartet. Not only do I truly
enjoy being on stage with them but even enjoy the practice time we
spend together. If the people in the audience are having half
as much enjoyment listening to our singing as we are presenting our
songs to them, then we are all blessed.
I love the group and all of you fans that make
it possible for us to do what we love. We are looking forward
to 2010 and even bigger blessings that it will bring. Keep us
in your prayers.

Happy Thanksgiving from The Conquerors
Quartet:
We’ve had a couple of very eventful
weeks! On Saturday, November 14th we sang at Owensboro
Christian Church for their monthly gospel sing sponsored by the
senior group. We were so pleased to have Mason Westerfield’s
family there. It’s always great to see his wife, Rebecca;
their children, Cailyn and Grant; as well as Mason’s parents in the
audience. At the concert that evening, eight-year-old Grant
(who has become a fixture on the CQ bus) made his stage debut.
It took a little coaxing to get him on stage, but it didn’t take him
long to grab the microphone just to make sure he could be heard.
It seems as if we have another child following in his father's
footsteps! Check out his picture on our website

We were at Olive
Branch Baptist Church on Sunday night, November 15th. The
church recently had some structural problems with their sanctuary
and was forced to move into the fellowship's gymnasium. They
have done a wonderful job converting the building into a great place
to worship God. A great crowd was in attendance which included
our friends Divine Mercy. Our buddy Ben Morelock, from the
Madisonville area, invited his Mother and Sister to come and be with
us. We asked Ben to sing that night, and he brought the
members of the congregation to their feet with a tremendous delivery
of the song “There’s Power in the Name of Jesus.” The presence
of God was evident throughout the remainder of the service, and we
were just so blessed to entertain the spirit of God. We
learned a long time ago that our services can only be successful if
we allow God’s spirit to be in control. A special thanks to
Pastor Taylor and Olive Branch Baptist Church for hosting our group
and extending so much kindness.
On Saturday, November 21st we were back
at Tell City High School Auditorium for the Fourth Annual
Thanksgiving Concert with The Sonshiners Quartet and The Woodsmen.
Ben Morelock opened the concert with three tremendous songs “Yes I
Am," "Power in the Name of Jesus," and "Forgiven Again." The
Woodsmen delivered a combination of excitement and spirit.
Their song “I Can Pray” is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
"Thanks guys for allowing God to minister through you." The
Woodmen’s owner and manager Tim Woods did an awesome job filling in
at the baritone position. We do ask that you pray for their
regular baritone, Jim Hutson, as he continues to recover from his
recent motorcycle accident. Jim is recovering well but of
course very slowly--so keep him on your prayer list!
Our dear friends, The Sonshiner Quartet,
once again was a favorite of the audience. Their ability to
deliver a song not only with great finesse such as their award
nominated song “I Choose to Believe,” but also with humor as
with their rendition of the old favorite “Gloryroad” is
remarkable! It was necessary for The Sonshiners to leave early
in order to attend an awards banquet in Nashville, TN for the
USAGEM (United States Association of Gospel Entertainers and
Musicians). Their song--“I Choose to Believe” was nominated for
Song Of The Year and their group was nominated for Group Of The
Year. In addition to being nominated for these two awards, The
Sonshiners received USAGEM’s Diamond and Crown Jewel Awards--the
top awards presented by USAGEM. CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!
In closing, we would like to express our
thanks during this holiday season to our many friends and family
that continue to support our ministry. Over the years, your
love and encouragement has meant more than mere words can
express. Thanks to our new friends that we have made over the
last several months as we have presented our newest project
“Still Standing.” Most of all-- we want to thank our Lord and
Savior,Jesus Christ. He gives us something for which to be
thankful every day, and that is the opportunity to know Him
personally.
COME AND JOIN US ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27 AT 7:00 PM FOR THE
WINTER WONDERLAND CONCERT AT THE RIVERPARK CENTER IN OWENSBORO,
KY WITH THE WOODSMEN QUARTET AND LIVING BY FAITH. THE DOORS
WILL OPEN AT 6:00 PM.
God Bless each of you,
Brother Dave
